GRADUATE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH US

Any MIT graduate student is eligible to work in the Hong Lab. Interested graduate students who are newly admitted to the department of chemistry, biology, biological engineering, chemical engineering, or physics are encouraged to contact Professor Hong by e-mail.

POST DOCTORATES INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH US

Prospective postdoctoral coworkers are encouraged to send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and published papers to Professor Hong by e-mail, and to arrange for at least two reference letters to be sent by e-mail. Upon joining us, post doctorates are expected to apply for fellowships from the NIH and other agencies.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH US

MIT undergraduate students who are interested in working in the Hong Lab should submit (1) a statement about career goals, particular interest in the Hong lab, and intended length of stay, and (2) an MIT transcript to Professor Hong  by e-mail.

Policies For Undergraduate Students

  1. Space is shared with your laboratory mentor—a graduate student or postdoctorate.
  2. Research is done for academic credit not financial support, though funding might be available through UROP.
  3. Paid summer internships are not available, except through programs such as UROP.
